A foray into the land of Javascript 2 monkeys

It is no wonder that programmers love naming their projects after different species of monkeys – I am sure that deep deep down, we are all code monkeys at heart. Sometimes the nomenclature gets a little bit ridiculous, however. I can understand Mono, but Mozilla has at least 5 distinct codenames for their Javascript engines relating to the word "monkey". I am hoping to clear up the confusion a little bit, and advise on some alternatives for running Javascript 2 code.
